Supply Chain Lead

We are looking for a Supply Chain Lead to:
- Support the Performance Manager (Planning and Logistics) to deliver and manage an effective supply chain / warehouse service for CHP Operational teams, external contractors, and customers.
- Manage and develop the team to achieve excellent customer service, meet business objectives and provide an effective support service to all Operations teams.
- Effectively manage supply chain invoicing processes and all systems, working in partnership with Digital and Transformation, Finance and suppliers, and providing support to Supply Chain Coordinators

- Responsible for team of Supply Chain Coordinators and Driver/Warehouse Assistants.
**Budget responsibility / expenditure authorisation**
- Authorised expenditure limits in accordance with CHP’s standing orders and financial regulations.

**Accountabilities**
- Manage, motivate and develop a team of Supply Chain Coordinators and Driver/Warehouse Assistants to ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs), such as customer satisfaction and right first-time logistics priorities and value for money are achieved within agreed timescales.
- Provide effective line management and support to the team delivering supply chain / warehouse services to achieve right first-time completion of jobs, monitoring, and reviewing performance and personal objectives, reviewing and updating procedures and work instructions. Implement relevant training to support achievement of the corporate plan and continuous improvement.
- Take ownership of managing calls/enquires from the operational frontline teams and suppliers to ensure resolution, as well as materials ordering within appropriate authorisation levels.
- Ensure that all areas of logistics are delivered to a high standard, professional, customer focused and efficient way which assists in achieving the best productivity of Operations teams.
- Ensure the team, suppliers and other visitors to the warehouse area comply with all health and safety requirements in line with CHP’s Health and Safety framework and statutory requirements, assisting in any related investigations.
- Lead by example to reinforce positive behaviours within Operations teams, suppliers and contractors, challenging any inappropriate behaviour.
- Ensure that all supply chain system administration and information is accurate, up to date, accessible and comprehensive in line with data legislation and regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other teams to ensure operational delivery of materials required to allow completion of the work on the first visit and help to drive down end to end times for repairs.
- Liaise with Operational Supervisors to arrange transfer of material costs for cancelled/completed jobs.
- Undertake all stock takes in conjunction with Performance Manager (Planning and Logistics), Operational Supervisors and DLO Trade teams, monitoring stock held to ensure appropriate levels of emergency call-out and contingency items are maintained.
- Take responsibility, in conjunction with colleagues, for creating and implementing customer focussed business procedures / processes which ensure accurate / efficient work planning, administrative and support services, and eliminate any non-value-added activities, for Operational teams.
