Occupational Safety Adviser

**About the Role**
**Base Location**: Perth or Dundee
**Salary**: £44,100 - £66,100 + car / allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
**Working Pattern**: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
The duties and responsibilities of the Occupational Safety Advisor are:
- Provide proactive and pragmatic occupational safety advice and guidance to internal customers throughout the Transmission business.
- Responsible for helping to ensure supporting managers address business risk by promoting a practical understanding across all safety processes.
- Responsibility for the development and continual improvement of the occupational safety elements of the Transmission SHE Management System including provision of information, instruction and training and active/ reactive monitoring of SHE performance including the sharing of lessons learnt from incident investigations.
- Contribute to an inclusive, effective and safe working environment by taking responsibility for their decisions and behaviours, and the consequences of these.
- Travel for Project and Operational site visits, attendance at company meetings and customer and stakeholder engagements.
**What do I need?**
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Graduate qualification in Occupational Safety (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma) or related discipline or appropriate proven knowledge and experience.
- Registered member of IOSH or equivalent organisation with continuing professional development (or desire to work towards).
- Multi-skilled at providing advice, support and guidance across all aspects of occupational safety, with a good working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, to ensure SSE project/ operational teams are best placed to manage Occupational Safety risk.
- Experience drafting clear, unambiguous SHE documentations.
