**The Opportunity**

The work winning lead’s purpose is to increase the success rate and efficiency in winning rewarding work across the portfolio, in all relevant geographies and service lines. The grade will be appropriate to the complexity and scale of the particular portfolio.

This role has the following areas of focus:

- Partnering with the Portfolio Lead to sustain and grow their business in the medium and long term
- Shaping the Portfolio CBD team needed to deepen our client relationships and pursue a resilient pipeline of opportunities, positioning Arup to respond to the dynamic market.

This role is located in the Advisory Portfolio team. The postholder will work closely with the leadership to design and implement work winning strategy, including client engagement, capture, bidding, information and knowledge management, and performance review, insights and reporting.

Your line manager will be the Head of Clients & Business Development.
Tasks will be agreed and prioritised for our Advisory portfolio, but the postholder will be developed professionally through the wider UKIMEA CMC network, and will have opportunity to support work winning efforts across the region, as required. Mentoring will be provided by work winning colleagues within the team and, more widely, by members of the UKIMEA Client and Business Development (CBD) network.

**Is This Role Right For You?**
- Experience of playing a central, strategic role within business teams, and of work collaboratively with others under pressure.
- Private and public procurement practices, and preferably regulations in the Portfolio area.
- Market-specific knowledge, including key clients, partners and competitors.
- Sufficient portfolio-specific technical and commercial detail to be able to recognise the key risks and opportunities involve in each pursuit or bid.
- Ability to identify and communicate work winning priorities and strategies.
