Spire Leeds Hospital are seeking a Health play and Support Worker for the Children and Young People’s service. The post is for up to full time hours -part time hours will be considered on an annualized hour’s contract.

Spire Leeds Hospital, located in Roundhay, Leeds, has been treating patients for almost 30 years. We are the region’s largest private hospital in terms of the range of services we offer and the number of consultants we work with. The hospital offers a range of services and facilities including four operating theatres, a sterile services department, a dedicated endoscopy suite, and a diagnostic and imaging department with an MRI and CT scanner. There are outpatient and physiotherapy departments providing services six days per week

**Duties and responsibilities**

We are looking for a caring, hard-working individual to join our team delivering high standards of care. You will be supported in developing your skills enabling you to support children, young people and their families throughout their hospital journey working in conjunction with our dedicated qualified children’s nursing team. The role will be hospital wide including supporting families in the outpatient’s environment.

Flexibility is required to meet the ever changing needs of the service. The post will be for mainly day shifts Monday to Saturday, but occasional night shifts and Sundays may be required. Day shift times are varied in conjunction with the patient work load within the hours of 7:00 to 21:00

**Who we're looking for**
- Applicants must hold the Health Play specialist qualification and registered with HPSET.
- Previously worked in a Paediatric hospital environment
- Be able to work autonomously with no supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Very flexible with regards to shift patterns to support the needs of the clinic
