The core focus of the Charities Engagement programme is to support charities across a range of communities with different and diverse needs which, in some cases, may be harder to reach due to heightened concern about the role and actions of the government and official bodies such as the Commission. The aim of the Charities Engagement programme includes supporting these communities by improving understanding of the role of the Commission and giving them and their trustees the tools that they need to succeed through engagement, outreach and regulatory advice and guidance; specific focus will be given to charities working internationally, representing faith communities and those involved in education. This also includes working to support the registration of faith organisations which are charities but not registered with the Commission.

You will support the team in their delivery of face-to-face and digital engagement activities so that they can operate to maximum efficiency and effectiveness - with a focus on international, faith and education charities. You will also provide administrative support to the programme of activities provided to faith organisations which are charities but not registered with the Commission to increase the number of registrations in this area.

**Job description**:

- Support the team’s timely delivery of the Charities Engagement programme aligned to the engagement strategy to strengthen standards of governance and accountability across international, faith and education charities, providing administrative support. Work with the Charities Engagement Team to assist in activities to identify and move unregistered faith charities into the regulatory space.
- Support the planning and organisation of digital and face-to-face Commission-owned events and one-to-ones. Assist in the delivery of such engagements as required, including providing event registration at face-to-face events, providing technical assistance for webinars, or producing meeting reports for one-to-ones.
- Support impact assessment of engagement activities by gathering, properly recording and presenting feedback from engagement activities, in line with agreed reporting processes, as well as identifying and developing opportunities to improve methods of obtaining feedback. Ensure that relevant information obtained as a result is shared with the team and provided to Head of Charities Engagement and Charities Engagement Manager for inclusion in quarterly reporting or other periodic reporting.
- Attend meetings and take minutes, both internally and externally, where appropriate. Ensure oversight of internal team records to ensure these are properly stored, promptly and accurately maintained and deleted as appropriate in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
