The Park Hotel is a vibrant three-star hotel located in North Liverpool, with an extensive events programme and is an established and much sought after wedding venue.

We seek an experienced F&B Assistant who can join the hotel’s team of hospitality professionals to achieve and enhance the exemplary levels of service deserved by our customers.

The F&B Assistant will be expected to engage with our guests, create a positive brand image for the Hotel, creating goodwill and repeat custom.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests.
- Provide table service.
- Ensure that all guests’ requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively, and an exceptional service is delivered to guests at all times.
- Familiarise yourself with the menu and as much information about the food and beverage offered in order to answer any questions guests may have.
- Ask guests about any food allergies / intolerances and report this to the kitchen.
- Take food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen and bar promptly and accurately.
- Ensure an efficient and safe delivery of all food and beverage orders in line with guest expectations, ensuring an exceptional level of service is always maintained.
- Ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in line with agreed procedures.
- Prepare all back-of-house service points with regard to expected numbers for breakfast, lunch, or dinner requirements as necessary.
- Any other duties as directed by the Restaurant and Bar Manager or other members of the management.

**Work and Experience**:

- Ability to provide guests with up-to-date information and directions while attending the function.
- Excellent food service skills, including the ability to carry multiple plates and to deliver drinks on trays.
- Ability to work well with other team members and to follow directions from supervisors.
- Excellent knowledge of food and drink pairings, particularly wine pairings.
- Ability to mix cocktails and create drinks to order.

**Skills and Personal Attributes**:

- You will have a passion for hospitality and customer service and recognise the importance of giving great service to customers.
- Have an outgoing and engaging personality and be driven by the challenge of working in a busy environment which requires flexibility and working well under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, confidence and an eye for detail are all key to being successful in this role.
- Adaptability is essential as you will often be asked to work across the bar, restaurant, and functions.

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

**Salary**: £6.40-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 40 per week
