**About the role**:
As a Sales Adviser, you will play a key role in the success of an expanding local business, ensuring we are never short of new business opportunities. You will primarily generate outbound sales opportunities and appointments for the Agent, internal sales team and our Financial Adviser.

Working in a friendly and supportive environment the main purpose of your role will be:

- To generate General insurance leads and cross sell opportunities, working towards a weekly target in terms of customers called, leads obtained.
- Work closely with your line manager, Agency and Head Office staff to understand our risk appetite and prospecting opportunities.
- Develop and manage our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Database, establishing a pipeline of business that is sufficient to achieve targets
- Work in conjunction with your colleagues to maximise cross sell opportunities for Financial Services and Risk Management services sales campaigns
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of NFU Mutual General Insurance products, as applicable to product licences
- Support and deliver Agency sales and marketing initiatives, with an opportunity to include managing our social media profile
- Sales support to the Commercial Sales Team, including preparation of documentation, follow-up activities and post-sale client paperwork

**About You**:

- Resilient, charismatic and brilliant with people, you’ll be confident engaging with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders
- Self-motivated and thrive on the challenge of meeting and exceeding targets
- Experience in Sales and/or Insurance is desirable
- Strong IT literacy (particularly Microsoft 365)
- Flexible, adaptable and a creative thinker
- Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
- Minimum 5 GCSE’s at Grade 4 / C or equivalent, including Maths and English
- Experience of working in a regulated industry is an advantage
