Recruit 2 You are hiring on behalf of our client based in Eastwood who are seeking a Stock Administrator to join their team
As a Stock Administrator you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate tracking and booking-in of goods coming into the organisation.
You will be responsible for overseeing the import process, from checking and logging incoming shipments, dealing with the hauliers and customs agents through to booking these shipments into stock using SAP system.
You will support the sales office team either by placing purchase orders to the suppliers or processing sales orders for some of our retail end customers.
The hours for the Stock Administrator will be 37.5 hours per week 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday.
The salary will be up to £26,000 per annum dependant on experience (bonus package included)
This role comes with 20 days holiday per year, which can increase to 25 days + bank holidays. (additional time off over Christmas)
**Responsibilities**:
- Check incoming shipments against purchase orders or other documents to verify accuracy and completeness
- Inspect documents for any discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate parties
- Ensure shipments are logged and are correctly processed by the external customs agents
- Record and update inventory management system (SAP and Excel) with received goods information
- Communicate with suppliers or vendors regarding any discrepancies or issues with received goods
- Coordinate these inbound goods with relevant departments including two warehouse locations
- Assist with stocktaking activities as needed
- Process incoming sales orders in accordance with established company policies and procedures in a supporting role to the main sales office team.
**Qualifications**:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using computer systems and software programs, particularly SAP and MS Excel and MS Outlook.
