**About the role**:
As a Stories Officer you will be gathering stories from victims and survivors of crime, empowering them to speak out, in order to drive change and raise awareness about the work of Victim Support:

- Identify and interview victims and survivors, writing up their stories
- Build and manage a library of victims’ stories, managing relationships with victims and survivors
- Make recommendations about how current systems for collecting victims’ stories can be improved, and work with the External Affairs Team and others to implement your recommendations
- Keep colleagues from across the organisation updated about the stories in the library, working with them to provide stories for their projects and campaigns
- Promote best practice in the use of victims’ stories, and ensure that the victims’ needs are fully understood and respected
