**About the opportunity**:
We are looking for a Retail People Partner to join our Regional Retail People Partner Team. This role is field based; the role has a flexible working location allowing you to work from home and from various stores across your region.

Reporting into the Senior People Partner, the People Partner will be the regional expert on People and will provide generalist support across the People agenda. As part of the regional leadership team you will work closely with the Regional Manager and Area Managers and will be responsible for delivering a proactive, commercial and value adding HR and People service to the region.

This role will be working across the South of the UK and will cover up to 120 stores.

**What you'll be doing...**:

- Business partnering with the Regional Manager to deliver a proactive, commercial and value adding HR service to region where you will be responsible for improving various KPIS and be accountable, alongside the Regional Manager for cost control across the region
- Driving the People strategy for the region in partnership with the Regional Manager and implement the Retail People plan aligned to business objectives and the People plan
- Supporting and coaching the Area Manager teams to engage and inspire their store management teams to deliver excellent service and standards
- Driving talent and succession as a regional strategy to balance internal and external needs, ensuring there is a succession plan in place for the region which drives 85% internal promotion rate.
- Effective implementation of people change projects in conjunction with field management teams
- Liaising with the wider People team, including Resourcing, HR Admin, Payroll and ER
- Overseeing and checking key areas of legal compliance in retail, including GDPR, WTD, NMW

**What you'll need...**:
To be successful, you will need:

- At least two years’ experience within a multi-site, field based generalist People or HR role.
- Confidence to lead and develop the People strategy with the ability to influence senior stake holders
- Experience within retail would be desirable
- Change management experience and the ability to overcome concerns and fears of colleagues
- Ability to coach Area Managers in People activities
- Minimum level 5 CIPD would be desirable
- Drive, enthusiasm and tenacity to deliver targets in a fast-paced environment
