As an inside sales account manager, you will be asked to communicate actively verbally and in writing.
The primary functional objective of the position is direct contact with customers, to initiate and develop relationships, which will ultimately generate sales.
The position is permanent and will be based in our Paisley office with a dynamic and fast paced team.
**Accountabilities**:
- Identify sales opportunities with new and existing customers and successfully manage the sales of company products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan.
- Maintain and increase current customer database through Company customer relation’s management software (Sales Force CRM) and coordinate sales processes for assigned accounts within your sales territory
- Manage and close sales leads generated by colleagues in Marketing and Technical Support teams
- Participate in sales, product and systems training, marketing campaigns and special projects
- Regularly provide written and verbal communication of successes, failures, best practices, to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team, region and sales organization
- Communicate with research scientists at all accounts to discover their needs, share product information, create sales presentations and formulate competitive pricing quotations
- Support marketing programs
- Participate in sales, product and systems training, marketing campaigns and special projects as presented by the Company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with Company philosophy, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate quotations within Company Guidelines by extending competitive pricing as needed to maintain and increase revenues with guidance from Management and/or Marketing
**How will you make an impact?**
As an Inside Sales member of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Bioscience Division you will be in daily contact with numerous customers from Research organizations, Start-Up companies or public institutions. By your enthusiastic effort you will make sure that our clients will get those products that fit their needs and you will guide them through our organization and processes to receive the best support on their way to reach their goals. It’s your performance and behavior which will define how our customers perceive the brand of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
In order to support you for a successful career you will be provided with extensive training and education in the beginning and throughout your career at Thermo Fisher Scientific. In addition to that service, we will provide you with the most modern IT-tools for a sales professional in order to continuously plan, organize and measure your success.
**Knowledge and skills**:
- Minimum BSc within Life Sciences required, preferred Master or PhD
- Sales mindset; strongly motivated by targets
- Strong communicator; able to engage and influence at all levels
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and desire to succeed
- Ability to manage time effectively to prioritize and complete tasks required
- Able to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment
- Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar required
- Fluent in English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to function effectively in a high-performance team
- Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing business environment
- Initial business experience in sales or any other customer-facing role in Life Science industry or other could be an advantage
- The ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines and prove that you can be reliable in terms of communication and in your actions
