**Your Role and What You'll Be Doing**

Our experienced pensions team works extensively with pension trustees and sponsors on all things pensions, including pensions on business sales, pension disputes and outsourcing public and private sector, off shore pensions.

You will work primarily with the Pension team Case Manager [Metlife] and support team on a legal trustee service, largely focused on a long term contract with a major insurer. The core provision is a life insurance plan and so given that you will be dealing with people who have recently suffered bereavement, you must be passionate about client care and always strive to act with tact and discretion even in sometimes challenging circumstances. In addition to this, you will be expected to support with wider Pensions Team administrative tasks.

**What You’ll Be Doing**

**General -**
- Preparation of calendar reminders and case management tables
- Reviewing forms against standard checklists and preparing communications from standards on Autodocs
- Dealing with telephone and online enquiries from contract users
- Dealing with urgent typing support requests and maintaining records
- Typing of records in standard format
- Dealing with administrative tasks from the wider Pensions Team.

**Specific Duties**:
MetLife/Death Benefits:
- Reviewing new Death Benefit claims received from client insurer MetLife - determining whether it’s a fast track or normal track case
- Drafting correspondence to beneficiaries using contract express to populate correspondence
- Dealing with incoming telephone enquiries from beneficiary’s and contract users
- Processing Death Benefit payments using 3E - advising client insurers of payments
- Managing the Death Benefit spreadsheet to track updates on claims - sending chasers to beneficiaries
- Processing new incoming Pension Admission forms received from employers, signing off the documents and sending signed documentation to employers participating.
- Dealing with all incoming post received and logging post to keep a record of documentation
- Producing settlement letters to send to beneficiaries once accounts have authorised payments
- Dealing with payment queries from accounts/beneficiaries
- Pensions/Admission Forms
- Processing new incoming Pension Admission forms received from employers, signing off the documents and sending signed documentation to employers participating.
- Updating the spreadsheet with new company information and monitoring the tracker

FURBS:
- Assisting with FURBS documentation and dealing with the database as and when requested
- Canopius
- Monitor ID and AML checks for new clients

Trustee Actions;
- Coordinate monthly meetings for the pensions team and circulate documentation

- Strong attention to detail
- Great communication skills and ability to communicate sympathetically including by telephone.
- Strong office skills including Outlook, imanage, Word/Excel and related programmes
