We are looking for reliable, proactive individual to join our Events Team as a Facilities Assistant, where you will be responsible for preparing venues for a range of events from live entertainment to conferences, and weddings, in a safe and timely manner.

The Cheltenham Trust is an independent charity that manages five iconic venues at the heart of Cheltenham including the Pittville Pump Room, Cheltenham Town Hall, Wilson Art Gallery and Museum, Leisure at Cheltenham, and the Prince of Wales Stadium.

Across all our venues, cafés, indoor and outdoor spaces we plan and deliver a wide range of year-round events including free events for the local community and visitors to Cheltenham, live shows, conferences, weddings, exhibitions, and dinners.

Each team member matters to us and joining the team will provide opportunities to help us deliver our event program and ensure that all our events and venues are the top choice for visitors.

**The Role**

Working with a variety of stakeholders including Event Managers, Operations, Catering, Technical and Front of House, you will play your part in ensuring that venues are set up in accordance with event plans, on time and to the highest standards.

This is a physical role so you will need to have a practical, can-do attitude.

**Duties include**:

- Ensure the venues are cleaned to the highest of standards, ready for events and internal functions
- Maintenance of cleaning equipment and assets, including some painting & decorating
- Maintenance of hygiene standards during events to ensure an excellent customer experience
- Reporting of faults and/or damage equipment to the relevant departments
- Adherence to safe working practices and COSHH controls

**Our Requirements**:

- Relevant experience in a similar environment e.g., hospitality, event venues or visitor attractions
- A good knowledge of health, safety and security policies & procedures is desirable
- Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise tasks and effectively manage your time
- The ability to work alone as well as part of wider team
- Confident and professional manner when dealing with clients, contractors, and event suppliers
- Able to work under pressure and multi-task, particularly during seasonal peaks

**The Package**
- Full time role 40 hours per week/ Part time role
- 30-hour week, working 5 days out of 7 on a rolling rota
- 22 days annual leave, plus bank holidays (pro rata)

**Salary**: £23,860.00 per year (pro rata)

Shift patterns will include a mix of early mornings, and weekends
