Job Description Summary

GE Aviation is a leading manufacturer of aircraft engines and components, partnering with major aerospace companies worldwide. We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Project Coordinator to work at our Cheltenham facility, a 55-acre site with approximately 1600 employees.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate technical aspects of refurbishment and construction projects across thirteen buildings on site, ensuring timely delivery of tactical project elements.
  2. Assist the Program Leader in coordinating resources, equipment, meetings, and information to support project execution.
  3. Develop project scoping documents through technical assessments with stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  4. Provide input to project budgets, escalating any variations to project scope to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  5. Ensure the accuracy of data input and general project administration, including O&M documentation and paperwork, are delivered at the end of each project.
  6. Coordinate site operations and resources to meet project demands, adhering to GE Aviation's EHS guidelines on compliance and safety.
  7. Understand and interpret RAMS, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  1. Previous experience in a strategic facilities environment or related role.
  2. Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  3. Understanding and application of CDM regulations 2015.
  4. Understanding of UK building regulations.
  5. Technical site expertise or similar experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or construction environment.
  6. Understanding of building services, infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structured cabling, fire safety, and security systems.
  7. A good communicator who can work with stakeholders to develop project brief documents that support the overall project document pack.
  8. Ability to read, interpret, and develop technical information and drawings.
  9. Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  10. Effective written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
  11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Project, and AutoCAD.
Desired/Characteristics/Qualifications
  1. Understanding of building services/built environment.
  2. Understanding of sprinkler systems and BMS.
  3. SMSTS Qualification.
  4. IOSH/NEBOSH Qualification.
  5. Project Management Qualification.
