Our garden centre company continues to expand rapidly and as a result we are recruiting for an enthusiastic problem solver to join our operations team. This role is very varied so would suit someone who is keen to take on a variety of tasks both in the office and on the shop floor. This is a key role within a very talented team who are running the most successful retail garden centre business in the southwest with around 100 employees.

The role includes the following duties:

- The checking and filing of paperwork for the operations managers
- Carrying out checks at our retail sites as directed by the operations managers
- A wide variety of special projects in areas such as customer service, health and safety, marketing and compliance
- Administration on a wide range of legal issues
- POS design and production
- Social Media marketing
- Website updates

Skills and experience required for this role are:

- Excellent IT abilities - experience of any of the following systems would be a bonus - Excel, PagePlus, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Video editing software
- Good levels of English - both spoken and written
- A full UK driver’s license
- A flexible approach to workload and strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organisation skills

**Details of this role**:

- The role would require applicants to work Monday to Friday with occasional shop floor support needed on key trading weekends throughout the year - flexibility to help is an advantage
- This role requires you to be based out of our Newton Abbot Head Office 5 days per week with no remote working possible - however we can be flexible on start/finish times and weekly working hours (35-45 hours per week available).
- We can offer £13 to £15 per hour. This is equivalent to £24,000-£31,000 pro rata per year.
- Holiday is pro rata based on days worked - approx. 28 days
- The role will be supported by full on-site training by our management team
