**About the Role**:
As a Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in supporting our Community Care Colleagues and ensuring seamless client care. You'll wear several hats, from leading and participating in meetings to assisting with daily operations and supervising your team.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Lead by Example**: Uphold Unicare Devon's policies and provide guidance to your team.
- **Effective Communication**: Lead and participate in staff and client meetings.
- **Supporting Management**: Assist the Management Team with tasks like monitoring communication channels and addressing concerns.
- **On-Call Responsibilities**: Be a part of the on-call rota, compensated with additional pay on top of your hourly rate.
- **First Point of Contact**: Act as the primary resource for Community Care Colleagues, collaborating with fellow Team Leaders, Office Staff, and external healthcare professionals.
- **Conflict Resolution**: Proactively address any work/client/carer conflicts or partnership issues.
- **Supervision and Quality Assurance**: Conduct regular supervisions, competency visits, and support visits for your care team, ensuring adherence to national and organizational standards.
- **Development Focus**: Identify and support the training and development needs of your team members.
- **Staff Support**: Conduct regular staff supervisions to identify and address any concerns and support development needs.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records following data protection and GDPR regulations, practicing need-to-know information sharing.
- **On-Call Management**: Cover rotas during staff illness to ensure uninterrupted client care (excluding general rota queries).

- SHIFT PAY of £12.50 per hour Monday to Sunday - plus additional Oncall payments

**Team Leader role**:
- Previous experience in a supporting or care role desired but not necessary as full training will be given
- Have genuine empathy and compassion
- Represent the company and set an example to provide excellent care and support
- Lead and take part in staff and client meetings
- Have Positive interaction skills
- Be self-motivated & well organised
- Be Flexible to respond to the changing needs of those who we support and the company requirements.
- Have great communication skills
- Be able to work as part of a core staff team
- Be able to drive and have access to a vehicle
**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care or working towards this is preferred
- 2 Years experience within a senior role is desirable
