About This Job
This role is responsible for strategically managing insurance claims for all coverage lines, proactively manage the insurance portfolio and leading efforts to economically mitigate risks through implementing pre and post loss strategies and developing keymetrics and measurements to reduce the organization’s Total Cost of Risk.
Essential job responsibilities:
Oversee and actively manage insurance claims for all lines of coverage (Auto, Cargo, Clinical Trials, Directors & Officers, General Liability, Products, Workers’ Compensation, etc.) including internal communication with relevant stakeholders and externalcommunication with insurance broker, carriers, third-party administrators, legal counsel, etc.
Manage the European commercial insurance program by working with the insurance broker to execute the annual renewal process, which includes collaborating with internal stakeholders to update and submit relevant exposure information and coordinate the paymentof policy premiums
Provide timely claim reporting and notification to carriers or third-party administrators including active management of the claim to ensure a prompt resolution
Develop operational risk management strategies and best practices to pro-actively manage risk exposure and loss prevention
Utilize the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) to establish and track claims-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess trends and monitor progress
Develop and distribute key reports and analyses, including claim reports and ad hoc reports for management
Develop strategies to improve processes and procedures through automation or streamlining
Partner with the Risk Management Administrator to manage the department’s internal SharePoint site, including maintenance of related content

Essential Knowledge & Experience:
Proven experience in end-to-end handling of complex casualty and liability insurance claims internationally
Excellent related experience
Familiarity with corporate insurance programs
An understanding of risk management, claims administration, safety, and loss control
Strong written and verbal communication skills; requires ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
Self-motivated, innovative, strategic, detail-oriented, and able to provide high quality and timely work product
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
Preferred Knowledge & Experience
Legal knowledge or skills from a claims perspective.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Finance, Law, Risk Management or Business
OR equivalent in vocational training/apprenticeship
