Due to the expansion of the business, LC International are now looking to employ a responsible, honest and reliable Accounts Assistant to work at our office in Medway, ME1.

An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to work in a growing Finance Department for a busy mechanical engineering and welding company. Previous accounts experience and accountancy qualifications are necessary.

The role is varied across most accounting and requires a high level of accuracy, organisation and commitment to maintain and improve the level of book keeping currently in place.

**General book-keeping**:

- Reconciling the bank feed daily using Sage One accounting software
- Complete any required new supplier checks
- Complete any required new purchaser credit checks and determine credit allowance

**Accounts Payable duties**:

- Have a weekly meeting ahead of any pay run with company Directors in regard to upcoming out goings
- Complete a contractor and purchasing pay run weekly ensuring funds paid are in line with cash flow allowances as well as being within a timely manner of invoice due dates
- Provide remittance advice on payments made where required

**Accounts Receivable duties**:

- Raise a small number of regular invoices weekly
- Contact any debtors regarding payment, record any response, escalate to debt collection agency where required

**Payroll**:

- Assist with weekly and 4 weekly pay run duties for all employees
- Upload required information to the pension scheme
- Complete all of these actions on Sage and submit relevant reports to HMRC

**Accounting documentation**:

- Assist with monthly cash flow forecasts
- Be able to answer finance related questions in regards to future purchases
- Work alongside our accountant in order to have all VAT and Tax paperwork prepared ahead of time
- Communicate directly with clients in regards to any payment / invoice queries
- Assist with the implementation the newly designed purchase order system throughout the company with support from the company Directors
- Actively look to save the company money regularly by tracking spending and looking at possible reductions i.e. - fuel card rates, gas hire rates, purchasing in bulk etc.

**Salary**: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
