**Job Title**: Carpentry Lecturer

**Location**: East London

**Salary**: 40,000 per annum with perks & benefits of the job

**Contract Type**: Permanent, Full-time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students on a range of carpentry courses, including Level 1 to Level 3 qualifications.
- Developing and delivering engaging and innovative lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments that meet the needs of our diverse student population.
- Providing pastoral support to students, including monitoring attendance, behaviour, and progress, and providing guidance and support where necessary.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of the motor vehicle curriculum, ensuring that it is up-to-date, relevant, and meets the needs of the industry.
- Working collaboratively with other members of the motor vehicle team to ensure that teaching and learning is of a consistently high standard.
- Participating in the college's quality assurance processes, including lesson observations, self-assessment, and peer review.
- Keeping up-to-date with developments in the motor vehicle industry, including changes to legislation, technology, and best practice.

**Essential Requirements**:

- A relevant degree or vocational qualification in carpentry.
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or Cert Ed.
- Experience of delivering carpentry courses at Level 1 to Level 3.
- A strong understanding of the carpentry industry, including current trends, legislation, and best practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students from a range of backgrounds.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning, and to supporting students to achieve their full potential.
- The ability to work collaboratively with other members of the carpentry team, and to contribute to the development of the curriculum.
