We're looking for two dedicated individuals to join our Financial Assessment and Benefit (FAB) Team as a Financial Assessment Officer. The FAB Team conducts financial assessments and welfare benefit checks for customers receiving council-funded support, emphasising a person-centred approach. Our team has a track record of excellence in partnership working and has won a Customer Service Award.

As a Financial Assessment Officer in a dynamic environment, you will manage the end-to-end financial assessment process. Your responsibilities include ensuring timely and accurate completion of new and review assessments through various means including online and face to face in the customers home. Working independently and collaboratively, you'll engage with partner organisations, including the Department for Work and Pensions.

- Manage financial transactions and records, including accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for improvement
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and decision-making
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Proven experience in finance or accounting role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Familiarity with financial software systems such as Workday, Salesforce, or PeopleSoft
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Note: Experience with administrative tasks, human resources, social media management, Taleo (ATS), or other relevant skills are a plus.

**Salary**: £29,269.00-£31,364.00 per year
