We are a supported living organisation who specialise in providing bespoke packages of support to people with Learning Disabilities & Autism who wish to live their lives in their community in their own home. We are looking for a support worker to join our team in the **Jarrow** area.

This is an amazing opportunity to work with a wonderful young person who lives in their own home. They have Autism & Learning Disability & are supported to communicate their wishes & needs. They like structure & routine in their day & enjoy a range of activities, such as watching DVD’s, listening to music, going on walks, going to the park, swimming & trampolining.

We need support staff who will work with the person for the long term, to build trust & strong relationships with them. We need positive loyal, committed staff who are fun & enjoy having a laugh & being a little silly to enrich their live. We are looking to recruit a **part time s**upport **w**orker**. This role involves working weekends, evenings, sleep ins & waking nights.

- (Desirable requirements but not essential as full training will be given)
- Social Care qualifications & any relevant training/skills supporting autistic individuals & people with a learning disability
- A commitment to further study/training as necessary

- You are “Person centred” & believe in & practice inclusiveness
- Experience of working with individuals who have behaviours that may challenge
- Offer flexible, responsive, & person-centred approaches in supporting autistic people & people with a learning disability
- Confident in using & implementing a positive behaviour plan
- Confident in following a person-centred support plan
- Effective communication skills
- Working or lived experience of adults with autism & learning disability
- Have a clean UK driving licence
- Have a positive outlook, able to create a happy environment & strive to ensure the person they care for has the best quality of life possible
