**My client, a Top Tier International firm, is recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join their law firm in Finsbury, London. The firm can offer a large amount of Hybrid working, ideally 2 days in office and 3 at home.**

**Role overview**

Joining a well-respected and highly-valued team in London, you will be working in partnership with the firms Energy sector partners to deliver high quality and proactive BD support within the renewable energy, conventional power, oil & gas and mining & commoditiessub-sectors. There will also be a focus on the energy transition and its impact on the sector, including working with their Global Oil & Gas partners on energy transition-related initiatives.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- drafting the annual business development and marketing plan aligned to the global sector strategy, in collaboration with the Energy partners;
- proactively identifying and implementing campaigns (both domestic and cross-border) to generate and grow business;
- contributing to the development of long-term profitable relationships by supporting partners in the management of client relationships including identifying opportunities to grow the relationship.
- preparation of strategic pitch documentation from credentials and transactional opportunities through to panels;
- coaching teams ahead of presentations and securing client feedback to assess quality and value; and
- coaching partners and senior lawyers ahead of client/prospect meetings including evaluating opportunities and preparing relevant collateral.

**Skills**

At least 5 years' business development and marketing experience working in a professional services environment with experience of managing and growing existing client relationships.
- A self-starter: someone who is hard working and ambitious with a strong interest in, and knowledge of, the Energy sector.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with, and influence, key stakeholders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write and present accurately, concisely and persuasively.
- Experience in managing multiple projects running in parallel with tight deadlines.
- A team player who is confident sharing information across a broader team.
- Understands and demonstrates the firms core values of respect, sharing, communication and integrity.
- Plays a full part in making a firm they would recommend to others to work in, respecting diversity and acting fairly and inclusively.
