Ensure that the Internationally Educated Nurses are welcomed and supported in specialist medicine. Provide continuing support with the education, training and development of indiviauals acrooss a diverse range of specialities. Work collaboratively with ward/unit/department leads to support the ongoping educational and developmental needs of internationally educated nurses. Provide strong, visible, leadership to parties involved in pursuit of a shared vision to ensure the effective and safe onboarding of international nurses.

Lead on required competencies for international nurses across all services to ensure clinical education is improving clinical capability and quality of care. Identify and support delivery of the clinical education OSCE programmes and post OSCE competency assessment. Act as role model and mentor for the nurses from point of recruitment to arrival, supporting them to transition into a hospital setting and ensuring they are well briefed on what to expect. Lead on the practice learning elements for the International Nurse Workforce pipeline, identifying clinical training needs and creating learning interventions to develop competency.

Link with the wider teams to ensure cross organisational learning and best practice. Provide specialist advice on factors that will improve the training and supervision required for the recruitment of international nurses To ensure there is a process that enables nurses to have the clinical skills to sit the OSCEs in a timely manner. Develop a formal guide around requirements to help them to prepare.
