Buyer / Inventory Controller - Fixed Term

**Contract**: Fixed Term - 18 months
**Working hours**:, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
**Hybrid**:Office and home working**. **A minimum of 3 days a week working in our Head Office, Sheffield, S35 2PW. Employees are able to utilise our office facilities more should they wish to. This can vary depending upon work requirements. We offer free onsite parking.

**Here's what you can expect to be doing**
As a member of our Purchasing team, you will be responsible for the direct buying of our medical portfolio from our parent company B. Braun Group and 3rd party vendors. You will also be responsible for the management of this inventory to ensure our UK customer requirements are met.
You will need to be one step ahead at all times in order to ensure purchase orders are placed and progressed accordingly. Using your analytical skills, you will assess customer demands, sales forecasts, promotions and manufacturing trends in order to make informed purchasing decisions.
**Your main responsibilities will be**:
- Responsible for stock management against agreed inventory targets
- Resolution of vendor delivery and invoice queries
- Manage and minimise any back order situations within the buyer product area
- Preparation of invoices for approval
- Inventory reporting
- Maintaining excellent and proactive relationships with suppliers both internal and external
**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Experience of purchasing practices and demand planning
- Competent in all areas of product forecasting and inventory control principles
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong administration skills
- Accurate and methodical with attention to detail
- A team player with the ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent communication skills
