**Overview**

2Fawcett are recruiting for a Buyer, to join a company located in the on a Permanent Basis. This role will report directly into the Purchasing Manager of an established manufacturing company. The Buyer will be responsible for scheduling, tendering, negotiation, evaluation and performance monitoring.

**The Role & Responsibilities of Buyer**
- Source, select, and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery time, and reliability, ensuring any high value orders or concerns are to be escalated to the Purchasing Manager.
- Identify and propose opportunities of cost saving, cost reduction and value creation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring open lines of communication and prompt issue resolution.
- Effective evaluation/analysis of quotations and subsequent proposals to Senior Management to enable timely decision making.
- Manage and review key subcontractors including identifying key development opportunities, structure control, performance management and, entering sales orders.
- Responsible for maintaining stock inventory levels
- Responsible for obtaining and providing costings for non-MRP demand.
- Administrate incoming freight activity in terms of paperwork requirements as and when required.

**Requirements of Buyer**
- Minimum 2 years experience in a Purchasing, procurement or Supply Chain role
- Proven ability in negotiating contracts and cost saving whilst maintaining quality
- Proven inventory management skills are essential
- Proven purchasing experience
- Experience in re-ordering of raw material in a manufacturing environment (MRP)
- Strong Analytical and problem solving abilities
