Join our **Enabling Functions** team as a **Buyer** and you’ll deliver complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you.

This role will require occasional travel across the South of England.
**What you'll be doing**
As a **Buyer**, you will have the following accountabilities:

- Fulfilling requisitions on behalf of the business
- Main POC for the South West section of the South Delivery Unit, to provide support, resolve queries and offer advice
- Ensuring internal spend compliance
- Sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations
- Conducting tender processes
- Commodity research and spend analysis
- Supplier meetings and engagement
- Creation of Supply Chain Strategies
- Management of Procurement Schedules
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders supported by the Procurement Manager
- Identifying key trends or opportunities for cost reduction
- Negotiating discounts and savings
- Supplier performance management
- Subcontract Supply Chain & Category Management
- Ensuring accurate reporting of savings and value add activities
- Ensuring adherence to procurement processes and procedures

**Who we're looking for**
You will have the following:

- Relevant business degree or equivalent experience (desired)
- Highly results orientated (proven track record of exceeding targets)
- Strong team player
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Flexible and driven
- Customer focussed
- Problem solving skills, ability to use own initiative to identify areas of improvement & propose solutions.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal skills
- Supply Chain Management Experience
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrates negotiation skills
- Strong Organisational Skills
- Self Starter
