Are you interested in working for one of the biggest companies in the UK? How about a job that offers variety? We are looking for a General Administrator to join our team at our HR Services site which is based in the centre of Sheffield.
**About the role**
In this varied role, you’ll undertake post room admin duties and provide cover to the busy reception desk.
You’ll manage the day-to-day operational requirements of the incoming and outgoing post, ensuring your time is utilised effectively and provide a postal collection and delivery service within the Pond Street office. Duties include regular collection of the mail, taking delivery of packages and assisting with ad-hoc duties such as confidential waste collection, room booking requests and dealing with telephone queries. When covering reception, you’ll be our meet and greet point and have responsibility for answering the switchboard, checking visitors’ ID passes, ensuring all visitors sign in whilst presenting a professional image.
Due to the nature of the role, you need to be physically fit and be able to lift up to 15kg. This is a fantastic opportunity to join Royal Mails Property, Facility and Services team and to develop your career in one of the largest organisations within the UK.
**Attendance**
The role is part time 20 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 12:00. The Pond Steet Office is located in the centre of Sheffield and has excellent access to public transport.

You need to demonstrate the following skills and experience on your CV:
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff
- Previous post room and administration experience in a customer facing role
- Receptionist experience will be beneficial
- A first-class telephone manner
- IT skills
