**About the opportunity**:
The Box Encapsulation Plant project is one of the most important construction projects at the Sellafield Site, the plant will play a vital role in Sellafield’s 100-year clean-up programme by taking nuclear waste recovered from the sites original waste plants and encasing it in concrete so it can be stored in a modern building. The plant is primarily designed to deal with waste from the Magnox Swarf Storage Silo, one of four legacy waste plants prioritised for clean-up by Sellafield Ltd’s owner, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). Alongside that work, the plant will also receive certain wastes from the other three legacy waste stores, the First Generation Magnox Storage Pond, the Pile Fuel Storage Pond, and Pile Fuel Cladding Silo.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Author to join our site team at Sellafield.

**Some of your responsibilities**:

- Produce a suite of compliant documentation including; Commissioning Test Documents (CTDs), and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) documents within defined time frames.
- Interrogate engineering / design and vendor information to produce the CTDs and System Overview Documents (Volume B)
- Attend progress meetings and provide weekly progress updates.
- Ensure Safety is the highest priority on the project, with a continued strive towards Zero Harm.
- Ensure quality standards, and consistency are applied throughout the range of produced documentation.
- Support the development of a collaborative project culture in line with Collaborative Working Plan.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Minimum HNC in an appropriate discipline.
- Previous Technical Author experience
- Ability to deliver work packages with the minimum supervision and to a high standard
- Good knowledge of MS Office Suite
