**What we’re looking for**:
You will need to have a good understanding of mental health, either through work or life experience, demonstrate the values that you will need to work with this sometimes challenging client group and to have the confidence once inducted to lone work.

You will need:

- Empathy and the right values to work with a vulnerable client group.
- Work with customers in a recovery focused and trauma informed way.
- Flexible and reliable - the rota is a 7 day a week shift pattern between 8am-10pm including bank holidays and weekends.
- Resilient - Able to work with a client group that has a forensic/ offending history and can be challenging as well as rewarding.
- Adaptable - able to accept and work with changes and to know when to adjust your approach to meet the needs of the customers.
- Able to travel to and from work on a shift pattern.
- Able to use technology such as MS teams, WhatsApp and Zoom.
- Able to use basic IT such as Outlook and Word and learn to use our in house systems.
- Comfortable supporting customers by supervising or prompting medication.
- Ability and confidence to lone work at times

**A bit about the role**:
As a Support Worker in a high support MH service you will work with the rest of the team in supporting our customers to achieve their recovery goals.

Our Islington Mental Health services are high support MH services that is staffed 24/7, support staff are on site from 8am until 10pm and security or night staff are there 10pm-8am. The customers all have a significant and enduring mental health diagnosis.

Currently we have 2 full time vacancies in our Islington Mental Health services.

You will be allocated a caseload to keywork, you will also be expected to complete admin tasks such as updating the internal systems with notes, completing risk/need assessments and supporting customers to attend meetings.

You will need to communicate with external services and internal teams, follow up on actions, complete incident reports, raise safeguarding cases as required and support customers with Assisted Daily Living and tenancy management.

You will also be responsible to monitoring H&S and repairs and with the tasks related to assessing new referrals to the service.

You will need to have a good understanding of mental health, either through work or life experience, demonstrate the values that you will need to work with this sometimes challenging client group and to have the confidence once inducted to lone work.

**_ This role will require an Enhanced DBS check._**
