We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, positive and innovative individual to join our dedicated team at our supported accommodation service for homeless families in Sheffield.

The project provides a support service with the aim of achieving independent living for homeless families. This role is specifically working with families who have No Recourse to Public Funds.

Your duties will include assisting customers to participate in employment, education, social and leisure activities and actively seek opportunities for them to be fully integrated members of their communities. You need to be able to build relationships with vulnerable homeless people to help them identify and achieve their outcome plans in a focussed way.

- Starting salary: £20,601 per annum (pro-rata) plus Essential Car User Allowance of £94.36 per month, plus mileage expenses
- Working Hours: 37 hours Monday to Friday

**More about the role**:
Our aim is to provide a stable home and intensive personalised support to homeless families with multiple and complex needs. You will work in a team that delivers on site support. You will have your own caseload which you will assist to identify secure move on accommodation. The role can be challenging but is highly rewarding.

The role of a Key Worker is to:

- Show enthusiasm for helping others, be approachable and encouraging with customers to support them in achieving their goals and aspirations
- Support our customers to gain the individual skills required to live more independent lives.
- Participate in multi agency working with agencies such as: social services, drug and alcohol services, domestic abuse services.
- Be capable to create, develop and effectively review written needs and risk assessments and outcome plans.
- Demonstrate a positive, sensitive and constructive approach to working with customers, colleagues and professionals.

**Who you are**:

- Have experience of supporting vulnerable people
- Demonstrate an understanding of individual supports needs and how to positively manage risk, whilst supporting our customers on their recovery journey
- Be a great communicator both verbally and in writing
- Have good problem-solving skills
- Capability to use a wide range of digital software
- Great organisational and observational skills
- Be able to manage conflict
- Be able to build positive relationships
- Possess a positive "Can Do" solution focused attitude
- Have full UK driving licence and access to your own car
