The Junior Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Advisor will be part of the HSEQ project support team and will lead HSEQ in assigned projects to ensure that HSEQ aspects are looked after and is being implemented in all project phases. This includes review of client documentation and requirements, auditing, setting up project HSEQ documentation, risk management, management of incident investigation, reporting and follow up as well as managing operational issues related to HSEQ.

**Description and Main Purpose**

**What will you do**:

- Contribute and take active part in project HSEQ Management (Project HSEQ role);
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HSEQ policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with company standards and industry best practices;
- Support the HSEQ team in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits to identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend appropriate control measures;
- Support the investigation and reporting of incidents, near-misses, and non-conformities, and assist in the development of corrective and preventive measures;
- Participate in the monitoring and reporting of HSEQ performance indicators, analyzing trends, and providing recommendations for continuous improvement;
- Collaborate with different departments and teams to ensure HSEQ requirements are integrated into work processes and projects from inception to completion;
- Assist in the coordination of HSEQ inspections, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, industry standards, and certifications;
- Stay informed about new developments and changes in HSEQ regulations and best practices, and assist in translating them into actionable recommendations for Ocean Infinity;
- Travel for vessel and client meetings;
- The designated HSEQ Advisor JR for Southampton.

**Who you are**:
The HSEQ Advisor Jr has some experience in working with management systems and HSEQ related tasks.
- Relevant Bachelor / Master degree or recognized health and safety qualification or previous relevant work;
- Worked at Sea or in a shipping company for at least two years;
- Knowledge of HSEQ principles, regulations, and best practices within the maritime or offshore industry;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and utilize HSEQ software and tools;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines;
- Willingness to continuously learn, adapt to changing requirements, and contribute to a positive safety culture;
- Thoughtful, thorough and conscientious;
- Interested in others and strives to act in the best interests of the team;
- Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work;
- Integrity, credibility and maturity for confidential issues;
