** **are currently recruiting for an empathetic, respectful and attentive team player to join us as Food & Beverage Supervisor As Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will be supporting the Hospitality Manager in all ‘front of house’ areas within the home for residents and visitors. You will ensure that customer care and service are delivered in a consistent way, and that the home operates to the agreed standard regarding the catering service, whilst also ensuring that all Health and Safety measures are in place and adhered to within their area of responsibility.

A key person in delivering excellent food service, the Food and Beverage Supervisor will get to know residents and visitors likes and dislikes, and will liaise regularly with the Hospitality Manager and Head Chef to ensure all hydration and nutritional needs are met at all times, whilst engaging the residents and listening to their requests.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the dining areas throughout the home that is in line with the resident’s preferences.
- Liaise with the Hospitality Manager and Head Chef to provide imaginative and interesting themes for special events, awareness days, festive requirements, parties, al fresco dining, buffets and participate in social events such as birthday and welcoming parties, and monthly themed meals.
- Ensure that staff are trained, supervised and appraised in conjunction with the people policies.
- Support the Hospitality Manager to ensure that all catering service areas are correctly staffed, and staff costs are in line with budget and forecast.
- Support the Hospitality Manager to ensure that catering services are delivered on time and in the most effective way. Deliver a professional and timely service ensuring that food is served hot and wastage minimized.
- Ensure residents are listened to and appropriate action is taken with regard to specific requests, food quality and service delivery. Harness feedback by regularly discussing individual requirements with residents, attending food forums and taking action as a result of the resident survey.
- Refer to the delegated person for diet or nutrition guidance.
- Ensure that residents are able to consult with the service staff and give feedback on the meals served on a daily basis.
- Respond to complaints or matters of concern whether arising from residents, relatives, staff or others in a sympathetic and understanding manner. Document all complaints and compliments on Radar.
- Participate in clinical reviews contributing to actions for weight loss or gain for individual residents. Understand knowledge of residents with Dysphagia that require IDDSI meals.
- Have an awareness of resident preferences regarding appropriate seating areas in the restaurant.

As a Senior Chef Apprentice in Production Cooking, you will manage a team to produce standardised dishes and menus within your care home kitchen. You will be accountable for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, including producing, monitoring, and maintaining consistent food standards.

These apprenticeships will allow you to hone your skills, increase your knowledge and take on additional responsibilities; all whilst working in your Avery care home. Enrolling with our Chef Academy will give you real-world experience, as you learn from experts first-hand in a working kitchen environment.
