Affiliates Marketing Apprentice
7 months ago
**Apprentice in Amazon’s EU Affiliate Marketing team**
Start your career as an Apprentice Affiliate Marketer at Amazon and learn the art of performance marketing.
This job is for you if you’re an entrepreneurial sort of person who enjoys:
- sorting out the problems that happen on any project;
- getting stuck into data/numbers and extracting really good insights from that data;
- presenting all of that to people who can use the insights to drive business results;
- picking up the phone and chatting about business and projects with clients.
**How to apply**
Please send us:
- your CV outlining your work experience, education, and hobbies or interests;
- a 250-word answer:
- EITHER telling us about a time when you analysed a problematic situation at work/college and came up with an idea or course of action to make the situation better;
- OR a time when you had to analyse a set of numbers/data for a project, got to a really good insight and then used that insight to shape the project answer.
We need your CV and your 250 word answer I'm afraid. If you only send us your CV we are unlikely to invite you to a 1st round interview.
**The job itself**
You will be part of the Affiliate marketing team, based in Amazon’s UK headquarters. The team plays a key role in Amazon’s commercial results, by working with publishers/brands/media owners (associates) whose content (website reviews, articles, blogs etc) contain product reviews and links, which drive traffic to Amazon’s site.
The Affiliate marketing team manage and develop these media owner relationships. They analyse data and trends to spot opportunities that will drive greater traffic to the Amazon site, which builds revenue for Amazon and its Associates.
Please note - this job is not about creating content. It’s about account management, business development and analysis of data/results/trends to help publishers who do create content, create new/more/better content.
**In more detail**
You will be involved in the following sorts of activities, on a day-to-day basis:
- Inspect Weekly and Monthly trends via internal dashboards, presenting them back to the team.
- Identify leads for the business development team either from existing unmanaged accounts or outside of the current creator channel.
- Act as an entrepreneur, thinking creatively about how to grow the creator channel and meet our goals.
- Be a self-starter, launching and leading new projects.
- Act as point of contact for UK/DE Associates, using problem solving skills to fix any problems faced by our partners.
- Create Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews to share with our top tier Associates. Working with our Bratislava (BTS) team, the apprentice will continually improve on the process.
- We use dashboards to inspect the performance of second tier creators. The Apprentice will work with the BTS and UK team to identify and communicate actions we think Associates should take to improve and grow their business with Amazon.
- Join BD leads on both virtual and in-person meetings with top tier creator accounts.
- In time, manage 3 Associate accounts and grow their revenue (fully supported by teammates).
- It is expected that the apprentice will upskill their knowledge of the affiliate industry upon joining the team.
- Attend industry conferences, with BD leads (at Amazon’s expense).
- The Apprentice will be expected to travel within in the UK, primarily London and occasionally Europe (at Amazon’s expense).
**Key qualifications**
- Proficient with Excel and formulas etc
- Confident and comfortable with data and all things data analytics
- Confident in writing reports and presentations and delivering them
- Fluent in English and able to communicate well
- Fluency in French, Spanish or Italian would be an advantage, but not essential
- A-Levels or equivalent completed (you do not need to be a graduate)
- You must be eligible to work in the UK
- You must hold a valid passport
**Preferred qualifications**
- College or part time work-experience analysing data/information and presenting findings
- 1 - 2 years of work experience in any field (part time/holiday work is fine).
