**Salary £27,500 - £32,500 per annum**

**About the role**

We are looking for an External Affairs Officer to work within our External Affairs team in the Advocacy department. You will help to deliver stakeholder engagement programmes to ensure Which? can influence and is well positioned with key external audiences. You will be influencing some of the biggest household name brands.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Responsible for the delivery of effective proactive stakeholder engagement strategies with support from the External Affairs Managers.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders, influencing them to drive positive change for consumers and feed back key learnings from businesses and other stakeholders to help inform, support and shape our wider work as well as to increase awareness and understanding of Which? and gather intelligence.
- Work effectively with teams across Which? to ensure a collaborative approach regarding engagement programmes with businesses, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
- Manage day-to-day reactive enquiries from stakeholders on Which? editorial work, campaigns and policy areas.
- Manage and attend meetings with stakeholders and support briefings to senior management for engagement with high-level stakeholders across relevant issue areas.

**About you**:
We're looking for someone who is great at building relationships and influencing stakeholders. You will need to be able to cultivate a good network of relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. We are looking for someone who has a keen eye for detail and can work in a fast paced environment with good verbal and written communications skills.

Our interview process usually involves 2 stages:

- Sometimes a chat with a recruiter or hiring manager by phone (typically 30 minutes), followed by
- An interview on Google Meet (approximately 45-90 minutes) consisting of values and experience-based competency questions and a role related task on a laptop
