My client a reputable and established professional membership body based in Central London is currently searching for an External Affairs Manager vacancy.

If you have experience in a similar external affairs role from either a trade association, professional body, government, think tank in young people, Gen Z, next generation, youth, fire safety, building safety, housing, property, retail, enterprise, towncentre, planning, high streets, real estate or hospitality we would love to hear from you.

**The Role of External Affairs Manager**

The External Affairs Manager works closely with the Director of Strategy and External Affairs to deliver the communications plan. This exciting and varied role is responsible for leading the membership body's digital strategy, and developing a range of impactfulcommunications, campaigns, digital and event collateral that supports the communications plan.

You will oversee the industry-leading Futures Programme - a young-in-career professionals' learning and development network, and participate in a number of cross-industry projects, as well as co-ordinating the equality, diversity and inclusion work.

**Person Specification**

**ESSENTIAL**

Current, previous experience of external affairs

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Evidence of leading and delivering a social media strategy and channel plans with measurable results.

Evidence of developing and delivering a broad range of communications e.g. social media posts, news articles and event collateral such as event programmes, PowerPoint slide decks, etc.

Evidence of leading a successful project or programme involving a range of external stakeholders.

The ability to analyse complex issues and disseminate the information clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience.

An interest in, and broad understanding of, the UK political and Parliamentary processes.

The ability to work flexibly, manage and prioritise a busy workload effectively, with limited supervision.

Evidence of building effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
