Redruth, United Kingdom Transforming Futures Trust Full time

Job Title: Head Of Provision

Location: Cornwall

**Salary**: £43,688 - £46,979 + TLR2C £7,557 + SEN £2,561

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Head of Provision to join ACE Schools, part of Transforming Futures Trust, to lead our Cornwall bases in Bodmin, Launceston and Redruth.

Do you want a role which gives you the autonomy to shape provision to meet the individual needs of our pupils within a supportive framework? We will give you freedom from many of the usual structures and routines of school leadership and the opportunity to participate in system improvement across the southwest. ACE is committed to life-long learning and we have a generous CPD budget to support staff with training, leading to nationally recognised qualifications up to, and including, PhD.

With every day being different, this is a sector of education with a high level of challenge, excitement and rewards and an outstanding work-life balance.

ACE schools is an alternative provision academy based across Cornwall, Plymouth, and Devon. We support up to 500 pupils each year ranging from Year 1 to Year 11. Pupils that we work with often have complex needs and as a result of this don’t currently attend mainstream or special schools’ settings. Our aspiration for all pupils is that we can support them to return to a specialist or mainstream settings and our focus is providing our young people with the skills necessary to make this transition successful.

We are looking for an experienced school leader who is looking for something different. You will have a good understanding of special and/or alternative provision and be used to working with local authority teams and professionals in other agencies and schools.

You will be experienced in managing large teams, recruitment, and developing the potential of people at all stages in their career. In this role you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our three Cornwall sites, each of which provides education for up to 20 pupils with complex needs including SEMH. Each site is led by a Lead Teacher reporting to you. Together with a second teacher and Pastoral Lead they manage a team of 20+ mentors who work with the individual children. We also have a dedicated SENCo and three administrators in your team.

You will ensure that all pupils receive an outstanding education. As Head of Provision you will be responsible for the performance management of staff, and developing teaching and learning in the bases. Working in collaboration with SLT and other Leaders you will contribute to the ongoing CPD of all staff and liaise with other agencies, parents and stakeholders to ensure that safeguarding and outcomes for pupils are outstanding.

You will ensure that deadlines are met and resources are managed efficiently and oversee Child Protection. You will work with commissioners in the local authority to ensure children are placed in the most appropriate settings to meet their needs and lead on admissions and transitions back into schools.

An important aspect is to assist the SENCo in assessing pupils’ needs and ensuring provision packages meet them, with regular reviews.

Accountable to and supported by the SLT, the Head of Provision for Cornwall, together with their peers in the extended leadership team, must support the school in providing vision, leadership and direction for the provision ensuring it is managed to meet and surpass ACE’s aims and targets.
- **If you have an interest in working within alternative education, have a desire to help make a difference to the lives of the most vulnerable pupils in Cornwall, and become part of arguably the most morally driven group of staff in the country, then we would like to hear from you**_.

**Salary**: £43,688.00-£46,979.00 per year

**Benefits**:

- Company pension
- Free parking
- On-site parking

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Work Location: In person
