**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Managing the day-to-day Production and Engineering requirements for the site manufacturing facilities
- Health & Safety responsibility in compliance with legislative requirements and timely closure of incidents
- Provide and deliver a 'continuous improvement' environment for the manufacturing site
- Ensure timely close out of issues using root cause analysis techniques
- Installation and Maintenance of new and existing product lines, machinery and building maintenance.
- Develop and deliver machine and process enhancement opportunities
- Provide monthly (or as required) written reports on manufacturing and engineering activity and targets, budgets and forecasts, costs per unit, capacity planning and resource utilisation.
- Direction, training, and performance management of production staff who report into this role
- Develop a production schedule and ensure its delivery on time in full.
- Providing operational feedback to facilitate smooth operational performance and process development.
- Ensuring 6S standards and H&S compliance are audited and maintained throughout the manufacturing areas

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- 5 years' experience of relevant experience.
- Experience of working in a highly regulated industry.
- Proven ability to manage Production and Engineering requirements in a shift pattern operation
- A track record of problem solving using lean techniques, displaying a can-do attitude
- Self-motivated, open minded and flexible, reacting at pace where required to meet Customer changes
- Excellent communication skills, capable of team working and leading and motivating a team
- Proven planning and organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks
- Ability to prepare, analyse and interpret operational data and write reports
