**Insurance Business Development Executive**

**Location: Hove**

**Salary: £26k - £28k + OTE**

**Hours: Mon-Fri 9am -5pm (Hybrid role after successful probationary period)**

An exciting opportunity has arisen within my clients Business Development team based in their offices in Hove.

The role will involve prospecting new business and generating new clients, account managing the business you have bought on and maximising all business opportunities within these accounts.

You will already have a sales/account management background and ideally have knowledge within the insurance or financial services market, however this in not a necessity.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create and develop own portfolio of clients, managing relationships effectively to ensure retention and growth of the portfolio.
- Create quote appointments.
- Updating the in-house system, developing prospects and sales appointments.
- Obtaining and confirming prospects renewal dates and update the call back diary system within the in-house system.
- Identify key decision makers.
- Responsible for overall management of your portfolio dealing with midterm adjustments, claims and additional covers.
- Liaising with internal departments such as claims etc
- Upselling and cross selling ancillary products.
- Build strong business relationships.
- Once a client is bought on board you will then account manage that client for all their needs.
- Attend new business meetings.
- Proven new business sales and account management experience.
- Ability to meet/exceed sales targets.
- Highly customer focused with great communication skills.
- Capable of working under your own initiative.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to build strong business relationships.
