Registered Manager - Children with Disability Short break Provision

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee our Children with Disability Short -break Provision, ensuring it operates in compliance with OFSTED regulations and meets the diverse needs of the children in our care. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for supporting children with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management:

- Provide strong leadership to the team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Short break Provision, including staffing, scheduling, and resource management.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures in accordance with OFSTED regulations and best practices in childcare.

2. Quality Assurance:

- Ensure that the Short break Provision maintains high standards of care and safety for all children.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor and improve service quality.
- Address any areas of concern promptly and effectively, taking corrective action as needed.

3. Staff Development:

- Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, providing ongoing support and professional development opportunities.
- Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate continuous learning and growth among team members.
- Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and sensitivity to the unique needs of children with disabilities.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

- Build positive relationships with families, external agencies, and stakeholders, fostering open communication and collaboration.
- Represent the Short break Provision within the broader community, advocating for the rights and needs of children with disabilities.
- Act as a liaison between staff, management, and regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and standards.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role within a similar childcare setting.
- Registered Manager status with OFSTED or willingness to obtain registration upon appointment - level 5 in residential childcare.
- In-depth knowledge of OFSTED regulations and safeguarding procedures related to childcare provision.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on building positive relationships.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting the welfare and well-being of children with disabilities.
- Relevant qualifications in childcare, social work, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care).
