**About the Role**

Join our dynamic team as a Packaging Buyer and play a pivotal role in sourcing and procuring high-quality packaging materials. Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will ensure the availability of high quality packaging materials while optimising costs and nurturing effective supplier relationships. This crucial position supports production and meets customer demands with a strong emphasis on environmental responsibility.
- Source and procure packaging materials in line with production schedules and quality standards.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favourable terms and pricing agreements.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
- Collaborate with suppliers to uncover opportunities for cost reduction and value enhancement.
- Work with the Supplier Performance Relationship Manager to maintain strong relationships with packaging suppliers, ensuring reliable supply and addressing technical issues promptly.
- Partner with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Inventory Manager to maintain optimal levels of packaging materials to support production needs.
- Identify and implement process improvements within the packaging procurement process.
- Embrace best practices and innovative solutions to minimize environmental impact and promote circular economy principles.

Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a procurement-related role.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field, with a focus on environmental sustainability preferred.
