Manchester, United Kingdom The University of Manchester Full time

The Epigenetics of Haematopoiesis Group within the Division of Cancer Sciences wish to appoint a laboratory-based Research Associate to an exciting project investigating the pathogenesis of chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia (CMML). This post is funded by a recent successful Cancer Research UK Advanced Clinician Scientist Award to Dr Dan Wiseman, to study the splicing and epigenetic crosstalk in CMML biology. During this position, the post-holder will undertake a range of activities including a range of cell and molecular biology approaches, accessing one of the world’s largest collections of primary CMML samples, alongside state-of-the-art single cell, epigenomic, RNA biology and functional genomics (CRISPR) approaches. The overarching aim is to better understand mechanisms of CMML initiation and progression, and to identify new therapeutic vulnerabilities to target in this poor prognosis disease.
