Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CFT) is fully committed to the education and development of our people to enhance the delivery of high-quality care. The Education and Training Department are recruiting to the position of Clinical Skills Facilitator to cover a period of maternity leave.

You will be involved in the delivery of clinical skills to support practice in Physical Health assessment/clinical observations, management of the deteriorating patient, blood glucose monitoring, IV therapy including Central Venous Catheters, Venepuncture and Cannulation

The person we are looking for will have, a strong clinical background with recent clinical experience, and proven competency in the clinical skills. They will also have excellent communication skills, ability to engage and influence with experience of teaching and assessing in practice and have a passion for education and training.

The role of the Clinical Skills Facilitator is to promote, support and develop clinical practice within CFT so that staff can achieve the highest possible standards of care, clinical judgement and decision making. You will be involved in the delivery of clinical skills to support the development of the multi professional workforce who undertake clinical skills. This incorporates delivery of Clinical Skills training within Corporate Clinical Induction and Training Roadshows. Also, delivery of Clinical Skills in the classroom setting and within practice in wards and community teams utilising various educational techniques including point of care and sim suite simulation.

The role will involve working with the Lead Clinical Facilitator, Head of Education and Training, and other educators and teams within the Education and Training department.
