**Job summary**:
We are recruiting for a Policy Officer to join our Cross Remit team.

This is an exciting time to be joining Ofsted, as we embark on Sir Martyn Oliver’s Big Listen. As a Policy Officer in the Education Directorate, you will be at the heart of delivering Ofsted’s strategy for the future. You will play a leading role ensuring that the development of policy is effectively managed and coordinated. You will need to have a keen eye for the big picture, and ensure you can comfortably work with inspection evidence, changes in wider government, user engagement and best practice so that Ofsted’s work drives improvement in the experiences and outcomes of children and young people.

As a member of the Cross-Remit team, you will also have the opportunity to lead on exciting cross-cutting pieces of work and lead high-profile work across the organisation. You will need to be comfortable demonstrating leadership and co-ordinating stakeholders to deliver our priorities.
