An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust for an enthusiastic, dynamic and well-motivated occupational therapy assistant to join our friendly, experienced, rheumatology team.

Patient contact and good communication is important to the role. You will be delivering individual and group therapy programmes. Your role will include performing non-complex assessments, progression of treatment, joint protection education and hand therapy including wax treatment. You may also have to undertake virtual consultations. The role will include administrative work with IT skills required for documentation, ordering equipment, stock control and referrals to out-side agencies.

Our clinics are based across two sites, at Cannock Chase Hospital and New Cross Hospital. We are a supportive team and offer training, regular individual supervision, opportunities for CPD and annual appraisals.

Car driver required in order to perform home visits to fit basic activities of daily living equipment.

Previous experience in a health or care environment is desirable.
