We have an exciting new opportunity to work on the Eat, Drink, Dress and Move to Improve (EDDMI) project across the inpatient wards at the trust. The EDDMI project is an ongoing campaign to promote patient independence during a hospital admission and to prevent avoidable issues which can further prolong a patient’s hospital stay and can have a negative impact upon their outcomes.

You will be key in helping to deliver and develop this initiative to ensure that we promote the benefits and instill this into everyday practice with the wider MDT to prevent deconditioning and promote independence for patients receiving ongoing care within the ward environment.

You will work in collaboration with the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy teams to autonomously implement the key deliverables of the project to ensure engagement and participation. This will include working with and engaging the wider MDT such as the Nursing Staff, Healthcare Assistants, Doctors, Ward managers and other Allied Health Professional’s within the ward environment to help implement the objectives of the programme.

You will have previous extensive experience working with patients within a ward setting and will be familiar with ward processes. You will also be a motivated individual with a desire to inspire and implement positive change which will have a long lasting impact on our overall patient experience and outcomes.

This post will be fixed term initially for 6 months with the view to becoming permanent.

IT skills are essential as you will be required to use digital systems.
