Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Here at Vision for Education, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic HLTA to work on a full-time basis within a ‘good’ school in the Washington area of Sunderland.
**About the role**:
The role involves working with the classes across KS2, where some pupils have SEND and/or lower attainment. Duties for the role include leading some intervention groups across the key stage both on a small group and 1:1 basis, covering sessions for class teachers where needed, and providing general support to the classes within KS2. This means we are looking for someone who has confidence in leading a classroom and some experience of classroom/behaviour management would be desired. This role is suitable for ECTs and would be a great way to gain experience across a range of year groups. Days and hours would be Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm.

To be considered for the role of Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) you will:
- Level 4 Teaching Assistant or equivalent
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Level 4 Teaching Assistant or equivalent
