At Pinnacle Windows we are looking for a Transport Supervisor with experience of managing a transport team and you will be hands on, driving performance based at Wellingborough Factory. There is real opportunity for career progression, we’re always lookingto promote from within.
You will be responsible for supervising the overall activities of the Transport office including managing driver rota’s, holidays, vehicle departures, driver’s paperwork, driver debriefs, breakdowns and making sure any last-minute changes are handled in anefficient and cost-effective manner.
**Transport Supervisor Responsibilities:**:

- Produce and implement the daily plan
- Maximise driver and vehicle utilisation to ensure all deliveries depart and arrive on time and any collections or backloads are planned-in and collected.
- Working with fleet hire companies to ensure vehicles are serviced in line with the maintenance plan
- Use Fleetplanner to monitor driver behaviour and deliver ongoing improvement initiatives
- Debriefing drivers to ensure that all key accountabilities and processes are audited after every shift.
- Managing all driver hours ensuring they comply with drivers’ rules and regulations
- Ensuring all driving incidents are investigated and that all insurance documentation is filled in and sent to all relevant parties.
- Collation & input of all delivery notes on the system
- Cutting ancillary packs
- Responsible for conducting ongoing training
- Organising the loading of the windows and doors
- Short distance driving
- Liaising with customers over ETA’s
- Promote a culture of customer service and cost efficiency.

**Transport Supervisor Requirements:**:

- Experienced in working within a busy operational office environment.
- Ideally experience in a transport environment
- Excellent communication skills and numerical skills.
- Positive and flexible attitude to work.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure documentation is correct and error free.
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines.
- Clean driving licence
- Must be over 25 years of age for fleet insurance
