An exciting new vacancy has arisen in our Employment, Immigration & Pensions Department in Edinburgh for an Assistant Administrator or a Legal PA who is keen to learn and looking to develop a career within Anderson Strathern.

As the sole PA support for the Edinburgh EIP team, this will be a challenging yet rewarding role for the right person. The other PAs within the department are based in the Glasgow office and you will work closely with them in order to provide consistent, high level administrative support to a team of Partners and other Solicitors. You will also be a part of (and have team support from) the wider PA Services team who are based across all departments and all offices.

Assisting with billing for Department and wider firm clients, including producing fee breakdowns and MI reports; producing bulk documents bundles using PDFDocs (including inventories), diary management (including Tribunal diary), organising travel arrangements, completing expenses claims, opening new client matters and file management. _**Confidence working with figures and a good working knowledge of Word and Excel would be advantageous.**_

Flexibility is key as there will be a requirement to support fee earners at all levels within your own department with a broad range of tasks and you may, on occasion, be asked to help other departments within the firm if needed.

The tasks you will carry out include, but are not limited to, the list below.

You may be responsible for
- Assisting with legal secretarial duties (for which you will be provided with any necessary training), including dictation, creating, formatting and amending documents and completing cashroom forms
- Producing bulk documents bundles using PDFDocs (including inventories)
- Diary management (including Tribunal diary)
- Organising travel arrangements and completing expenses claims
- Onboarding new clients, opening new matters and general file management
- Assisting with finance and billing processes for the Department’s clients and for some wider firm’s clients, including uploading invoices to our finance system (Aderant) and producing bills to be sent to clients, producing invoice breakdowns and MI Reports
- Scanning, saving, and distributing incoming mail
- Photocopying, scanning, printing, binding, filing, and archiving
- Helping to maintain our Interaction database
- Providing occasional assistance to set up for events/large meetings
- Assisting with Dataroom management
- Assisting with ad-hoc departmental projects

This role has excellent progression prospects and scope to grow and expand the role. Training will be provided on an ongoing basis to allow you to provide the best possible support to the Department.
