**Procurement Assistant**

**Location: Longstanton**

**Salary: Up to £26k**

Our client is a leading provider of expertise to their clients to maintain and continue the development of the infrastructure of both highways and telecommunications sectors throughout the UK.

Due to continued growth and expansion, they are currently looking to recruit a Procurement Assistant to join their expanding team.

**Description**

Procurement sits centrally within the business and interacts with many different departments and remote sites. The team oversees the strategic side of developing and purchasing assets and services within the company. This role requires regular liaison with external suppliers, internal departments, and stakeholders. You will also support with the process of purchase orders on our inhouse procurement system.

**Responsibilities**
- Inputting of Purchase Orders accurately, on a timely basis, and in accordance with company policy
- Support the Procurement Administrator with Processing Purchase orders accurately, on a timely basis, and in accordance with company policy
- Liaise with suppliers and yard staff to ensure a free flow of information about expected goods receipts
- Assist Procurement Manager in the production of Procurement statistics
- Assisting with the integrations of new internal systems
- Managing the purchasing of PPE and issuing to staff

- Good IT skills, competent with the use of internet, E-mail, and Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook)

**Qualifications**
- GCSE passes in Maths and English
- Data entry experience in a purchasing department
- Experience using purchase order software

**Salary**: Up to £26,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

- CAMBRIDGE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
