Position: Full time although part time working will be considered

Tenure: Initially on a fixed term contract of 12 months

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

- Undertaking support of the company secretary role and duties, including support with corporate filing and records
- Support all legal and contractual requirements, to include preparation, drafting, reviewing and negotiation of all company contracts with customers and suppliers, including letters of intent, aircraft and engine purchase agreements, lease agreements, outsourcing MRO contracts, procurement, loan, exchange and sale agreements, service contracts and general commercial law
- Performing due diligence and research as may be required on customers and suppliers and advising the Legal Counsel and other involved individuals as necessary
- Ensure ongoing compliance with responsibilities for monitoring, reporting and meeting contractual, statutory and other legal obligations in connection with commercial agreements and outsourced functions of complex contracts
- Providing legal and commercial support during contract negotiations supporting the origination and sales teams to meet business requirements
- Support with the drafting and review of contracts, LOIs and such other legal documents and corporate records
- Support the Legal Counsel with the development and presentation of legal precedents and presentations to business groups
- Undertake administration duties in relation to contracts and insurances as directed by the Legal Counsel
- Undertake various projects as assigned from time to time by Legal Counsel in coordination with the CEO and other senior managers

Experience Required:

- Must be fully qualified to work in the UK and qualified as a Solicitor of England or from a common law jurisdiction with a minimum of 2 years PQE in commercial law
- Ideally trained in a medium to large commercial focused law firm or in-house with a major corporate
- Relevant PQE working on commercial contracts
- Previous experience working in or a sound understanding of aviation financing and MRO contracts, aircraft and engines
- Broader aviation experience working with sales, business development and origination teams / legal counsel advisory role would be an advantage but is not essential
